MeoowzResQ Hoarder Case!!!!

An update on the horrific hoarding situation in Santa Ana....

So far, MeoowzResQ has permanently removed 21 cats and kittens from the home. We don't have enough fosters or adopters to take them all or we certainly would! If anyone can step up and take 1 or 2 cats (some need socialization), it would be soooo helpful!! In the meantime, MeoowzResQ is providing the remaining cats with food, litter and basic meds.

THREE kittens from this case have been adopted into loving, forever homes!! Yaaaay!!! Unfortunately, 3 more kittens were born into the house of horrors over the weekend and will hopefully be moved to foster (with their mama) later today.

So far, 4 of the kitties have had surgeries to repair or remove eyes and 2 will be healthy enough to undergo surgery shortly. Most of the kitties are being treated for URI and other ailments and a total of 28 cats (7 ferals) have been fixed so far!! Sadly, for now, fixed cats have to be returned to the home because our fosters are full so, again, if you can help take or foster some of these guys, we can get them out of there!

Our trapping and transport team is absolutely AMAZING and the kitties are very lucky to have such dedicated and reliable people working for them! MANY MANY THANKS to Alison, Carolyn, Mitzy, Taylor, Severine, Jeanette, Pattie, Jenn, Cathy, Gisella and Sherry (my mama)!!!!!!!!

ANother Hoarding SItuation!!! Taking 10 cats from this case
Our amazing fosters have done it again. They are helping out with another hoarder situation in Fontana. We are taking 10 of the cats from that situation. These cats are all healthy and friendly. There are still more and still many in Santa Ana. Can you foster just one cat for a few weeks while we find it a permanent home? SOme updates.
UPDATE: This kitty was scheduled for surgery yesterday but they decided to give him a couple more days to recuperate after recovery from his upper respiratory infection. The swelling of the eye went down but it cannot be saved.
A VERY HAPPY UPDATE: The first adoption of a kitty from the hoarder situation in Santa Ana occurred yesterday. A gray tabby we called Coconut was adopted at our Huntington Beach event!
UPDATE: We have begun the spay/neuter of the adults in the house taking two each day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This will continue until all are done. They will be returned to the house until fosters or adopters can be found for them. You can help us by sharing our posts to spread the word that we need fosters and adopters. Every cat that is adopted or every new foster makes room for us to save another life. Thank you so much to all of you for your support and for caring about these helpless babies.

MeoowzResQ recieved the email circulating about people needing help with cats they had in Santa Ana---indicating they maybe forclosed on ----they were asking local Ornage County California Rescue groups to take one or 2.
Well, we pulled 17 of the cats thus far!!!! ----the worst, most severe cases. The remaining we gave them meds and food and litter ---until further help can be given.
Many of the kitties will need eye enucleations. There are at least 20-25 remaining cats----NONE have been spayed/neutered. This is a huge project and we need help ----
These 3 pictures are just an example of the condition of the kitties we have pulled.
We are in dire help to help the 17 cats we have pulled so far with eye removals, vetting and medication. We are supplying the home right now with food, liter and medication and we need big help to save and assist this situation!!!! This is pretty much a CODE RED situation.
